Кордони України: територіальні візії козаків від гетьмана Б.Хмельницького до гетьмана І.Самойловича

Abstract

У статті розглядаються уявлення керівників української козацької держави щодо її територіальних обширів – від часу утворення державної структури за гетьмана Б.Хмельницького (1649 р.) до кінця правління гетьмана І.Самойловича (1687 р.). Особливу увагу звернено на ідею українського реґіоналізму та ідентичності до виступу Б.Хмельницького, витоки трьох територіальних візій козацтва, об’єднавчі зусилля гетьманів П.Дорошенка та І.Самойловича, а також зародження концепції «української Вітчизни» й ставлення до неї Запорозької Січі.This article examines the territorial vistas of the Cossack leadership from the formation of the Cossack state under hetman Bohdan Khmel’nyts’kyi (1649) to the end of the rule of hetman Ivan Samoilovych (1687). It focuses on concepts of Ukrainian regionalism and identity prior to the Khmel’nyts’kyi era, the development and interplay of three Cossack visions, and the unifying efforts of hetmans Petro Doroshenko and Ivan Samoilovych. The article also discusses the origins of the concept of a “Ukrainian Fatherland” and the relationship of the Zaporozhian Sich to the Ukrainian Hetmanate and the “fatherland”.
