Запрошення вірмен до Львова галицькими князями Данилом та Левом Даниловичем у «Topographia civitatis Leopolitanae» Іоганна Алембека: особливості ренесансного історієписання

Abstract

Статтю присвячено специфіці ренесансної історіографії та міфографії. Опис заснування Львова Іоганна Алембека розміщується у широкому контексті ренесансного історієписання. Почавши з питання, чому І.Алембек у своєму оповіданні найбільше уваги надав запрошенню вірменських вояків князями Данилом та Левом, далі досліджується, які саме моделі заснування міст уважалися тоді престижними й чому. Проаналізовано ренесансні концепції часу та етногенезу, а також уявлення про «Трою» й «Азію» в гуманістичній літературі.The article deals with the Renaissance urban historiography and mythography. Author puts the description of L’viv foundation by Johannes Alembek into wider context of Renaissance historical writing. Starting with the question why J.Alembek in his narrative devoted the main attention to the invitation of Armenian warriors by the princes Danylo and Lev, the article then examines issues what models of a city foundation were seen as prestigious and why. The article analyses Renaissance concepts of time and ethnogenesis, as well as representation of “Troy” and “Asia” in humanist literature.
