Abstract

Досліджується інститут полковника Війська Запорозького як вищого урядника адміністративно-територіальної й військової одиниці Гетьманщини середини XVIІ – першої половини XVIІІ ст. Реконструйовано його місце в політичній і соціальній ієрархії козацької держави. Простежено тенденції розвитку службових кар’єр найбільш знакових представників цієї соціопрофесійної групи. Звернуто увагу на риси претендента на полковництво, як їх було прописано у законодавчих актах і представлено у практиках адміністрування Гетьманщини. Визначено обмеження та заборони, що вибудовувалися законом і традицією для обіймання полковницьких урядів певними категоріями населення, а також з’ясовано, наскільки ефективними вони були на практиці.Author researches the institute of Zaporozhian army colonel as the high-ranking official of administrative-territorial and military unit of Hetmanate in the middle of 17th – first half of 18th century. In this article reconstructed his place in the political and social Cossack State hierarchy. The tendencies of the bottom up of careers of the most token representatives of this socio-professional group are traced. The main attention is paid to the candidate’s features, the way it was described in the legislative acts and presented in the administration of Hetmanate practices. In the work detected the boundary conditions and inhibits that was built by law and traditions needed to the appointed social groups to take the colonel vacant office. Also, covered how effective it was in practice.
