Abstract

У двох однойменних і знакових статтях-доповідях (1980 та 1990 рр.) видатного українського історика, сходознавця, першого директора Українського наукового інституту Гарвардського університету О.Пріцака висвітлюються найважливіші проблеми концептуалізації української історії та представлення її у структурі всесвітньої історії. Обстоюється думка, що предметом історії України є минувшина всіх типів держав, спільнот, культур і цивілізацій у територіальних межах сучасної України, котра є неодмінною складовою всесвітньої історії.This article covers two symbolic articles-reports of the same name (1980 and 1990) of the eminent Ukrainian historian, orientalist, and fist director of Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute O.Pritsak. Author lightens up topmost conceptualization problems of history of Ukraine and its presentation in the structure of world history. It is grounded the thought that subject of history of Ukraine is past of all types of states, communities, cultures and civilizations in the territorial borders of modern Ukraine that is the indispensable part of global history.
