Стефан Стамболов в оцінках історіографії країн Західної Європи та Північної Америки

Abstract

У статті розглядаються особливості висвітлення діяльності болгарського державника C. Стамболова у науковій історичній літературі країн Заходу. Показано вплив на дослідження вказаної теми появи таких концепцій як марксизм та модернізація. Автор приходить до висновку, що структура текстів створеного наприкінці ХІХ – на початку ХХІ ст. у країнах Західної Європи та Північної Америки величезного масиву наукових праць певною мірою торкається різних аспектів життя видатного державного діяча Болгарії С. Стамболова. В історичних виданнях відтворено його участь у визвольній боротьбі народу проти османської влади, членство у Ліберальній партії, роль в організації контрперевороту 1886 р. та заходи на посаді регента і прем’єр-міністра країни. Політику, яку проводив С. Стамболов, досліджували історики і публіцисти багатьох країн Заходу. Прагнення політика обмежити вплив Росії на Балканах, зміцнити державний суверенітет і перетворити Болгарію на сучасну європейську країну оцінювалася позитивно упродовж всього досліджуваного періоду.The article deals with the features of the disclosure of the Bulgarian statesman S. Stambolov and his activity in scientific historical literature of Western countries. It reveals the influence of emerging concepts such as Marxism, and Modernization on the investigation of the relevant topic. The author draws the conclusion that the structure of texts in a large amount of scientific works created in the countries of Western Europe and North America in the late nineteenth and early twenty-first centuries to a certain extent reveals different aspects of life of prominent Bulgarian statesman S. Stambolov. The participation in a liberation movement against the Ottoman government, membership in the Liberal Party, the part in the counter-revolution of 1886, and his policy during regency and premiership are restored. The policy implemented by S. Stambolov have been investigated by historians and journalists of many Western countries. The endeavor of statesman to restrict Russia's influence on the Balkans, strengthening the state's sovereignty and transforming Bulgaria into a modern European country is positively evaluated throughout the investigation period.
