Скифские гробницы в Келермесе

Abstract

Келермесские курганы занимали центральное место в многочисленных трудах М. И. Артамонова, посвященных различным аспектам раннескифской культуры. Между тем общая археологическая ситуация в этих памятниках свидетельствовала, по его мнению, что они были оставлены не скифами и не меотами, а вернувшимися из переднеазиатских походов киммерийцами.This article is devoted to ethnic attribution of large Kelermes barrows - classical monuments of the epoch Scythian archaics. Basing on the materials of the earlier excavation (1903-1904) and modern additional research of some complexes (1981-1990), the author develops an extensive and reliable description of their burial rite and comes to the conclusion about Scythian attribution of Kelermes barrows under consideration.
