Боспор и морские походы варваров второй половины III в. н.э.

Abstract

Многие морские походы варваров интересующего нас времени начинались с берегов Меотиды и Боспора. В трудах по истории германских племен, Боспорско- го царства и Крыма высказывались различные суждения о хронологии и количестве рейдов, о локализации пункта, откуда они осуществлялись и, особенно, об этносе участников морских экспедиций.Scriptores Historiae Augustae, Zosimus, Ioann Zonara and Georgius Syncellus inform about Barbarian raids into Asia Minor and Balkan Peninsula in 254-257, 267 and 276 AD These raids originated from the regions of Bosphoros and Meotida. The initiators of these raids were German tribes of Borans, Goths and Gerules. Sarmatians and Alans took part in these expeditions. The chronologies of the raids correspond to the changes in political and economic life of Bosphoros Kingdom. As a result of the raids a part of German tribes settled in Bosphoros.
