"Нечитальник" Леся Мартовича в оцінці Івана Франка

Abstract

У статті простежується історія виходу у світ збірки «Нечитальник» Леся Мартовича. Увага зосереджується на першому оповіданні однойменної назви та оцінці його І. Франком як твору, в якому відсутнє почуття міри і наявні зайві епізоди та зловживання діалектом. Як відомо, Лесь Мартович захоплювався творами І. Франка, як письменник зростав під його впливом. Авторка намагається відшукати причини категоричної відмови Л. Мартовичу друкувати його перший твір і взагалі писати. Ключ до розгадки цього секрету дає сам І. Франко у «Відповіді критикові Перебенді», яка хоч і не має безпосереднього зв’язку з Мартовичем та його оповіданнями, дає уявлення про критичний метод літературознавця та спосіб оцінки творів сучасників.The history of publication of the collected volume «Nechytalnyk» by Les Martovych has been traced in the article. The attention is paid to the first story with the same name and its appraisal by I. Franko as a literary work, in which there is no sense of proportion, and which contains superfluous episodes and dialect abuse. As we know, Les Martovych was fond of I. Franko’s literary works, as a writer he grew under his influence. The author of the article tries to find the reasons of the flat refusal to L. Martovych to publish his first work and to write in general. The key to the solution of this secret gives us I. Franko in his «Answer to the Literary Critic Perebendia», which though is not directly connected with Martovych and his stories, explains us critical method of literary critic and the way of appraisal of the works of his contemporaries.
