"Иде Володимиръ… и заӔ грады ихъ…": Рюриковичі та "окняжіння" племінних земель у верхів’ях Західного Бугу й Вепру

Abstract

На основі археологічних джерел проаналізовано експансію Рюриковичів на племінні землі межиріччя Західного Бугу та Вепру наприкінці Х – у першій третині ХІ ст. Процеси інтеграції цієї території до Русі розглянуто крізь призму хронології, планувальної структури та характеру укріплень городищ Забужжя. Виокремлено чотири моделі виникнення та функціонування городищ в кінці Х – у першій половині ХІІ ст., першу з яких характеризує існування частини племінних городищ – так званих “Червенських градів” упродовж першої третини ХІ ст. (Гуців, Скибиці, Липсько-Полісся та ін.). Другу модель репрезентує “перенесення” городищ на нове місце, розташоване неподалік від укріплених племінних осередків (Рокитне та Завадів). До третьої моделі належить “переростання” племінних осередків у князівські фортеці з одночасною зміною планувальної структури укріплень та конструктивних особливостей захисних ліній (Бужеськ, Пліснеськ). Останню модель супроводжувало заснування нових міських організмів (Белз, Червен, Всеволож та ін.), зумовлене потребою проведення територіальної реорганізації та захисту західного пограниччя Русі.On the basis of archaeological sources the Rurikovychi expansion on tribal land between the rivers Western Bug and Vepr in the end of X – in the first third of the XI centuries in the article is analyzed. The process of integration of the territory to Rus’ considered through the prism of chronology planning structure and nature of the fortified settlement Zabuzhzhya. There is determined four models of the origin and functioning of the settlements at the end of X – in the first half of the XII centuries. The first of which describes the existence of tribal settlements – the so-called “Chervenski Grady” in the first third of the XI century (Hutsiv, Skybytsi, Lipsky-Polissia et al.). The second model represents the “transfer” of new settlements on the nearby of fortified tribal centers (Rokytne and Zavadiv). To the third model belongs “escalating” of tribal centers in princely fortresses with simultaneous change of the fortifications plan structure and design features of protecting lines (Buzhesk, Plisnesk). The latest model is characterized by the establishment of new urban organisms (Belz, Cherven, Vsevolozh et al.), caused by the need of territorial reorganization and protection of the western frontier of Rus’.
