Українсько-литовсько-польський досвід "війни у війні": спроба компаративного аналізу

Abstract

У пропонованому дослідженні здійснено базовий компаративний аналіз українсько-польського та литовсько-польського конфліктів часів Другої світової війни. Авторка намагалася простежити спільне та відмінне у причинах цих протистоянь, з’ясувати, що об’єднує та відрізняє їх перебіг, а також визначити особливості згасання збройного протиборства між українцями та поляками, литовцями й поляками. Аналізуються історичний досвід взаємин, психоментальні особливості відносин між народами, окремі аспекти міжнаціональних конфліктів у роки війни. Показано, що в основі загострень між українцями, литовцями, поляками лежали подібні процеси. Розгляд українсько-польського та литовсько-польського конфліктів розпочато з XIX ст., від часу зародження «політично уявлених спільнот» – націй. Порівняльний метод дозволив підтвердити теоретичні висновки зарубіжних і вітчизняних фахівців. Водночас наслідки конфліктів першої половини XX ст. між українцями та поляками, литовцями й поляками ще потребують додаткового вивчення. Проблема подолання поширених у суспільній свідомості й закорінених у колективній пам’яті народів стереотипів, котрі стосуються неоднозначної українсько-польської, литовсько-польської історичної спадщини, ще далека від свого остаточного вирішення. І поки залишатимуться спогади про трагічні сторінки минулого в українсько-польських відносинах, зберігатимуться й ці стереотипи. Запропоновані висновки можуть стати новим арґументом у «волинській дискусії».The study offers basic comparative analysis of the Ukrainian-Polish and Lithuanian- Polish conflicts during the World War II. The emphasis is laid on the common and distinguishing causes of these confrontations, which provides the author with an opportunity to find out the matters that united and distinguished their course, as well as to reveal the specifics of the armed confrontation weakening between Ukrainians and Poles, Lithuanians and Poles. The study sheds light on the historical experience of relationships, psychological peculiarities of relations between peoples, and some aspects of inter-ethnic conflicts during the war years. The author argues that the relationships exacerbation between Ukrainians, Lithuanians and Poles had been caused by the similar processes. The study of the Ukrainian-Polish and Lithuanian-Polish conflicts began in the 19th century, the time of the emergence of the so-called “politically-virtual communities”-nations. The comparative method gave grounds to confirm theoretical considerations of the foreign and Ukrainian experts. Although considerable amount of research has been devoted to these issues the further research is needed to verify the consequences of the conflicts between Ukrainians and Poles, Lithuanians and Poles in the first half of the 20th century. The problem of overcoming the stereotypes of the public consciousness, which are deep-seated in the collective memory of peoples concerning the ambiguous Ukrainian-Polish, Lithuanian-Polish historical heritage is still far from its final solution. These stereotypes will be preserved till the memories of those tragic pages of the past in Ukrainian-Polish relations are kept alive. The key findings of this study may become a new argument in the “Volyn debates”.
