Роль міжнародних зв’язків університетів у становленні академічної науки в Україні на початку ХХ ст.

Abstract

На основі документів Центрального державного історичного архіву України, Державного архіву міста Києва, Інституту рукопису Національної бібліотеки України ім. В.І.Вернадського, матеріалів періодики, спогадів сучасників у статті розкриваються основні тенденції розвитку міжнародних зв’язків Харківського, Київського й Новоросійського університетів упродовж ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. у контексті формування передумов для заснування Української академії наук (1918 р.). Аналіз індивідуального досвіду представників професорсько-викладацької колеґії в поєднанні з синтезом локальних явищ науково-освітнього життя українських ґуберній Російської імперії сприяє відкриттю нових ракурсів та акцентів у розвитку загальноєвропейського культурно-цивілізаційного процесу. Конкретно-історичне вивчення траєкторій міжнародної діяльності університетів Наддніпрянської України відкриває перспективи більш глибокого осягнення історії європейської освіти та науки в макромасштабі. Взаємовплив внутрішнього світу, світогляду, життєвого шляху окремої особи, сім’ї як базового соціального інституту та ґлобальних культурних і суспільно-політичних явищ виразно простежується на прикладі постатей ученого-економіста І.В.Вернадського та його сина – В.І.Вернадського, з іменем якого пов’язана інституціалізація Української академії наук, на ґрунті культурно-освітніх і наукових процесів попередніх історичних періодів, невід’ємною складовою яких була діяльність, зокрема і в міжнародному контексті, університетів Наддніпрянської України.On the basis of documents of the Central State Historical Archives of Ukraine, the State Archives of the City of Kyiv, the Institute of Manuscripts of V.I.Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, periodicals, recollections of contemporaries this article deals with the main trends in development of the international relations of Kharkiv, Kyiv and Novorosiia Universities during the 19th and the early 20th century in the context of the formation of prerequisites for the foundation of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (1918). The author emphasizes that the analysis of the individual experience of university academics in combination with the synthesis of local phenomena in the scientific and educational life of the Ukrainian provinces of the Russian Empire contribute to opening up new perspectives and emphases in the development of the pan-European cultural and civilization process. A concrete historical study of international activities’ trajectories of the Universities of Dnipro Ukraine opens new avenues for advance understanding of the history of European education and science at macroscale. The mutual influences of inner world, outlook, vital way of the individual, the family as a basic social institution and global cultural, socio-political phenomena can be clearly seen by example of the domestic scientisteconomist I.V.Vernadskyi and his son – V.I.Vernadskyi, whose name is connected with the establishment of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences in Kyiv (1918) on the basis of cultural, educational and scientific processes of previous historical periods, an integral part of which were the activities of Dnipro Ukraine’s universities, particularly in an international context.
