Abstract

An attempt is made to give the description of the specific composition of Siluroidei from Ariidae family (3 genera, 15 species) from the north-west part of the Indian ocean as a determinant. The data, lieing in the basis of determinant, are collected in the cruises on the Soviet industrial and research ships beyond the limits of territorial waters of different states in the range of depths 20-100 m. The data from the literature are used of various foreign authors concerning this group of fish.
