The lectotypes of Lycaena alexandra (P üngeler, 1901), L. margelanica (Staudinger, 1881), L. diluti? (Staudinger, 1881), comb. et stat. n., L. dimorpha (Staudinger, 1881), comb. and L. phoenicurus iliensis (Staudinger, 1886), comb. n. are designated, redescribed and figured from the collection of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Examination of the type material allowed to transfer ssp. balucha Howarth et Povolný, 1976, originally assigned to L. athamantis, to L. phoenicurus; the name povolnyi Howarth Povolný, 1976, suggested to be infrasubspecific within L. phoenicurus. The type examination resulted also in sharp determination of two L. dimorpha populations taxonomy position; they are described as new subspecies. L. dimorpha infera Nekrutenko, s? n.- differs from the nominate subspecies by deep dark colour of the wings upper si? lack of submarginal orange band on both wings upper side, except for a small orange patch within anal angle; under side colour pale yellow. Type-locality: Tashkent distr., Mts. Karzhan-Tau, Khumsan. L. dimorpha funeraria Nekrutenko, ssp. n. differs from the nominate subspecies by complete vivid orange submarginal band on both wings upper side. Type-locality: Uzbek SSR, Mts. Tshatkal, Burtshmullah. The type-material of both new subspecies is in collection of the Zoological Museum, Moscow University.
