Українські історико-меморіальні атласи як засіб поширення історичної правди і створення позитивного образу держави

Abstract

Одним з ефективних і наочних способів передачі достовірної історичної інформації є створення історико-біографічних атласів. У статті проаналізовано досвід укладання меморіальних біографічних атласів у США, Англії, СРСР та на Кубі. Інститут досліджень діаспори в Києві розробляв глобальний атлас «Українці в світі (в мапах, текстах, ілюстраціях)», але цей проект не вдалося завершити. Не знайшов підтримки і цікавий картографічний проект мовознавця В. Теркулова. Неабияке значення має публікація у 2014 році атласу «Шляхами Великого Кобзаря» з нагоди 200-річчя від дня народження Т. Шевченка. У статті окреслено досягнення та визначено недоліки цього атласу. Обґрунтовано пропозицію створити історико-культурний атлас енциклопедичного типу «Українці Росії». Підготовка подібних атласів – ефективний спосіб покращити імідж держави та народу у світі, сприяти збереженню національної ідентичності українців діаспори.The creation of historical and biographical atlases is one of the effective and visual ways to reproduce reliable historical information. The experience of memorial biographical atlases composed in the USA, England, the USSR, and Cuba is analyzed in the article. The Institute for Diaspora Studies in Kyiv has been developing a global atlas for Ukrainians in the World (in the Maps, Texts, Illustrations). However, this project has not been successfully completed. An interesting cartographic project by the linguist V. Terkulov has also not been supported. The publication of the atlas By the Roads of the Great Kobzar in 2014 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's birthday is a work of exceptional significance. The analysis of the advantages and faults of this atlas is presented in the article. The offer to create a historical and cultural atlas of encyclopaedic-type Ukrainians of Russia is proven. The composing of such atlases is an effective way to amend the image of the state and nation in the world and favor the preservation of the national identity of the Diaspora Ukrainians.
