Пам’яткоохоронна діяльність краєзнавця М.Ф. Пономаренка на теренах Черкащини у 1950–1990-х рр.

Abstract

У статті досліджуються основні напрямки пам’яткоохоронної діяльності краєзнавця з Черкащини М.Ф. Пономаренка, якою він займався упродовж 1950–1990-х рр. Аналізується його внесок у розбудову музейної справи регіону в період перебування на посаді директора Золотоніського краєзнавчого музею на громадських засадах у 1960–1978 рр. Розглядається робота краєзнавця по збереженню та захисту історико-культурної спадщини на теренах Черкаського краю, яку він проводив, очолюючи секцію археології при обласній організації Українського товариства охорони пам’яток історії та культури. Характеризуються напрямки діяльності М.Ф. Пономаренка як заступника голови обласної організації Всеукраїнської спілки краєзнавців. На підставі вивчення джерельної бази та численних спогадів колег і знайомих краєзнавця формується основна думка цього дослідження – проблематика охорони історичних пам’яток є наскрізною ланкою краєзнавчої діяльності М.Ф. Пономаренка.The article examines the main directions of monument protection activities of the local lore specialist from Cherkasy region M.F. Ponomarenko, which he was engaged in during the 1950s and 1990s. His contribution to the development of museum studies of the region during the period of his holding the position of a director of Zolotonosha Museum of Local Lore on a voluntary basis in 1960–1978 is analyzed. The article deals with the work of a local lore specialist in regard to the preservation and protection of historical and cultural heritage on the territory of Cherkasy region, which he performed as a head of the archeology section at the oblast organization of the Ukrainian Association for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments. Areas of activity of M.F. Ponomarenko as the deputy chairman of the oblast organization All-Ukrainian Union of Local Lore Specialists are characterized. The article highlights the main positions expressed by Mykhailo Fedorovych in regard to solving issues in the field of monument protection. The article analyzes the local lore specialist’s publications in newspapers, reports at conferences in which he familiarized the public with the work of the museum, general trends and difficulties in the protection of historical monuments. Based on the study of the source base and numerous memoirs of colleagues and acquaintances of the local lore specialist, the main idea of this study is formed - the issue of historical monuments protection is a cross-cutting topic of local lore activities of M.F. Ponomarenko. However, according to the literature analysis, his local lore contribution, in particular, monument protection activities, has not yet been theoretically studied. This is a strong argument for continuing in-depth research of this topic. As a result, it was concluded that M.F. Ponomarenko was one of the first who restored museum work in Cherkasy region in the postwar period, worked on a development of a program concerning identifying, certifying and protection of the archeological monuments of the region, highlighting the concealed pages of local history. Biographical and chronological methods of historical research and general scientific method of system analysis were used in the process of elaboration of the topic.
