Методологічні контроверзи «дослідження історії» А.Тойнбі

Abstract

У статті розглядаються методологічні набутий цивілізаційної теорії А.Дж.Тойнбі, їх суперечливість та перепони на шляху практичного застосування в історичних дослідженнях. Як одну з головних причин цих труднощів автор відзначає поєднання некласичної філософсько-історичної концепції та традиційного позитивістського трактування історичного факту.The article examines methodological achievements of A.J.Toynbee’s civilizational theory, disputable and vulnerable points, that are likely to set up serious obstacles to the theory’s practical application. The author of the article sees the reason of these obstacles in the connection of nonclassical philosophico-historical concept and the traditional interpretation of a historical fact inherent in Positivism.
