Abstract

Olbian citadel is an important part of architectural and building remains of the ancient city related with the sojourn of the Roman army here from the middle of the 2nd c. to the middle of the 3rd c. AD. The citadel is accentuated topographically because it is situated in the southern third part of the Upper city and dominates the Lower city where life was ongoing at the time of its existence.
