Abstract

The Shestovytsya International Archaeological Expedition of the IA NASU and the T.H. Shevchenko Chernihiv State Pedagogical University since 1998 have been providing investigations of the archaeological complex situated in Korovel tract near Shestovytsya village not far from Chernihiv. 8 buildings and several manufacture and husbandry pits were researched on the territory of the ancient site of the settlement; study of the remains of the defensive structures of the Kyiv Rus period on the spit of the cape was ongoing. Ploughed up burial mound with remains of cremation aside was excavated to the north-east from the site.
