Дослідження Західного палацу в Києві у 2009 р.

Abstract

Results of the ongoing since 2008 excavations at the area of «Volodymyr’s city» where the Western palace was situated are described. In the beginning of the 10th c. on the studied site a necropolis was situated which is evidenced by the graves of this period. Closer to the end of the 10th c. a palace was build, time of destruction of which is currently disputable. In addition, several dwelling and husbandry objects of the Ancient Rus and later periods were discovered.
