Анотація

Addition of carboxymethylcellulose to sulfate electrolytes leads to a decrease of the corrosive destruction rate of iron (steel). It is due to the formation of a barrier layer on the iron electrode surface. Such a layer consists of little soluble products of co-operation of carboxymethylcellulose with iron cations, which appear near the electrode/electrolyte interface. A ground of the thesis that the formation of protective layers is conditioned in many cases by the co-operating of organic inhibitors with cations of dissolved metals is brought. In accordance with such a supposition at the choice of organic inhibitors, it is necessary to take into account the stability constant of the appearing metalorganic compounds (complexes) and their solubility in the examined environment.
