Abstract

В статье рассматривается использование количественных методов анализа данных в лингвистической гендерологии и обсуждается соотношение качественных и количественных методов исследования.У статті розглядається використання кількісних методів аналізу даних в лінгвістичній гендерології і обговорюється співвідношення якісних і кількісних методів дослідження.The purpose of this paper is to determine the importance of gender studies in home linguistics and reveal the fact that qualitative methods of study used alone often fail to adequately capture the complexities of gender parameter. The inclusion of quantitative analysis can produce a greater insight into the functions of verbal behavior and provides a valuable additional perspective to research into gender differences. By taking into account the results of both quantitative and qualitative analyses of the same data, it is possible to gain a much clearer picture of the processes at work than would otherwise be possible.
