Дилема «Росія-Захід» в історіографічній спадщині Михайла Грушевського

Abstract

Стаття присвячена особливостям інтерпретації М. Грушевським проблеми «Росія-Захід» у контексті історичного розвитку українського народу. Вказано на значну амбівалентність історіософських та історіографічних оцінок вченого. Зроблено висновок про значне емоційне навантаження наукового дискурсу дослідника, його залежність від контексту історичного періоду, а також соціальних і політичних реалій кінця XIX – першої третини XX століття.The article is devoted to the analysis of interpretation by M. Hrushevsky of the dilemma “Russia-West” in the context of the historical evolution of the Ukrainian people. The considerable ambivalence of scientist’s historiosophical and historiographical assessments has been revealed. The conclusion about a significant emotional burden of researcher’s scientific discourse, his dependence on the context of studied period and social and political realities at the end of XIX – the first third of XX century has been made.
