Ґенеза польсько-українських стосунків у працях польських істориків Львова (1890-1914)

Abstract

Стаття присвячена відображенню поглядів польських істориків Львова на генезу та розвиток польсько-українських взаємин. Висвітлення та оцінка експансії Речі Посполитої на українські терени у працях польських істориків залежала від їхніх політичних поглядів і переконань, а також від приналежності до позитивістського чи неоромантичного напряму в історіографії. Поширення неоромантичної методології, дискусії з російською, литовською та українською історіографією, тогочасна політична ситуація сприяли відродженню в працях польських учених історико-політичних міфологем. Експансію поляків на Схід, насаджування й оборону латинської культури львівські історики зламу століть трактували як цивілізаційну місію Польщі на південно-східні землі. Генезу польсько-українських взаємин виводили з середніх віків.The article deals with the views of Polish historians from L’viv on the genesis and development of Ukrainian-Polish relationships. The depiction and assessment of history of expansion of Commonwealth to the south-eastern territories in the works of Polish historians depended on the political views and convictions, as well as on the belonging to the positivistic or Neo-Romantic stream in historiography. The spread of Neo-Romantic methodology, discussions with Russian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian historiography and political situation of that time contributed to the revival of historico-political myths in the works of the Polish scholars. L’viv historians of the end of the XIX-th century. and beginning of the XX-th century. explained Polish expansion to the East, implantation and defense of Latin culture as a civilization mission of Poland into the south-eastern territories. The genesis of Polish-Ukrainian relation was derived from the Middle Ages.
