Роль Сергія Єфремова в творенні комеморативних практик української спільноти (на матеріалах ушанування пам’яті Бориса Грінченка): 1910–1913 роки

Abstract

Стаття присвячена з’ясуванню ролі видатного публіциста Сергія Єфремова у “винайденні традиції”, творенні “місць пам’яті” й пантеону видатних діячів модерної доби українського руху. Змальований внесок С. Єфремова в укладання меморіального збірника “Над могилою Бориса Грінченка” (1910). На підставі концепцій колективної пам’яті і теорії поколінь проаналізовано статті С. Єфремова, де конструюється образ Бориса Грінченка. Джерелами послугували публіцистика, щоденники, мемуари, листування. Автор доходить висновку, що особливого значення на другому й на третьому етапах націєтворення набувають свята, ювілеї, меморіальні (поминальні) збірки, перевидання та коментування спадщини символічних постатей “українства” з відповідними акцентами стосовно її “невмирущості“, злободенності для сучасних та прийдешніх поколінь.The article is devoted to the role of the outstanding publicist S. Yefremov in the “invention of tradition” and the creation of “places of memory” and the Pantheon of prominent figures of the modern era of the Ukrainian movement. The contribution of S. Yefremov to the conclusion of the memorial collection “Over the grave of Boris Grinchenko” (1910) is described. Based on the concepts of collective memory and the theory of generations S. Yefremov’s articles where the image of Boris Grinchenko is constructed are analyzed. Sources were journalism, diaries, memories, correspondence. The author comes to the conclusion that celebrations, anniversaries, memorial collections, reissues and commentaries of the heritage of symbolic figures of “ukrainism” with appropriate accents on its “immortality”, topicality for modern and future generations are of particular importance at the second and third stages of Genesis.
