Особливості художнього розкриття теми голодомору в україномовній поезії Канади

Abstract

У статті розглянуто особливості художнього втілення теми голодомору у творчості поетів української діаспори Канади другої половини ХХ ст. – І. Темертея, О. Гай-Головка, О. Смотрича, Б. Мазепи. Визначено, що окреслена тема тісно переплітається з біографіями митців. Досліджено основні образи, що надають ліричним творам трагічного пафосу. Саме звернення до теми голодомору є одним із проявів історіософічності, що розглядається як складова національної ідентичності.The article deals with the features of the artistic embodiment of the Holodomor in the creativity of Ukrainian-Canadian poets of the second half of the 20th century – I. Temertei, A. Hai-Holovko, O. Smotrytch, B. Mazepa. It is determined that the outlined topic is closely intertwined with the artists’ biographies. The main images that provide a lyrical works of tragic pathos are analysed. The appeal to the Holodomor is one of the manifestations of the theme of history that is considered as a component of the national identity.
