У статті окреслено сутність, обсяг та завдання когнітивної ономастики. Цей розділ науки про власні назви є водночас розділом когнітивної науки, яка нині висувається на одне з чільних місць у науковому розвитку людства.The paper offers an outline of the essence, content and tasks of cognitive onomastics. This section of science about proper names is simultaneously a section of cognitive science that now occupies a leading position in the scientific development of humanity.
