Пути оптимизации программы профилактики стоматологических заболеваний в Армении

Abstract

Автором був проведений аналіз стоматологічної захворюваності через 5 років після впровадження програми профілактики карієсу зубів у Республіці Вірменія, у результаті якого назріла необхідність розробити адаптовану комплексну програму профілактики карієсу зубів і хвороб пародонту з використанням сучасних, доступному й ефективних на комунальному рівні методів.Dental disease level is high enough in Armenia and is expected to continue its increase, if the conditions affecting the disease development aren’t changed into favorable ones. The implementation prevention programs lead to a drastic reduction of dental caries intensity and periodontal disease, as well as to a significant decreases in cases of tooth loss at young age and lead to an increase of children’s and adolescents’ number with intact teeth. However implemented caries prevention program in Armenia for 6- and 12-year olds did not lead to the expected results.
