Abstract

Social potential of the World Wide Web corresponds with the initial stage of comprehension and analysis. New forms of individuals’ interaction, expansion of the means of communication remain terra incognita in domestic sociology. These cate gories require detailed elaboration. The author marks out potential lines of the Internet investigation, such as: computermediated communication, online research, study of the World Wide Web audience, network communities, socialization etc.
