Abstract

In the article, secular faith is regarded as phenomenon of subjective reality and individual self-determination related to mental and ethic life in particular. There is discussed the current state and tendencies of collective ideas presented in the public consciousness on the threshold of the new millennium. Special attention has been given to the nature, state and functions of social beliefs and stereotypes of the contemporary society, as well as to correlation between new aims and priorities and corresponding new images of the world and life realization models.
