Изменчивость относительных размеров костей черепа и конечностей у водяной полевки (Arvicola terrestris) в Западной Сибири

Abstract

Studies in the relation of a relative length of extremities and skull bones (920 samples) to the body length of long-, broad- and narrow-fingered Arvicola terrestris L. from 5 populations of Western Siberia resulted in establishing that curves of their relative growth do not coincide. Difference in the rate of sex maturation and in periods of reproduction in females of certain morphotypes is supposed to be a reason of this phenomenon.
