О «семейных группах» на беловежских кладбищах конца X – XI вв.

Abstract

В предлагаемой мною статье сделана попытка развить и конкретизировать одну из высказанных О.А. Артамоновой интересных гипотез о формировании на больших кладбищенских территориях «семейных групп». Основой определения групп она считала, прежде всего, наличие в них двойных (парных) захоронений.This article is an ongoing investigation of a large serious research by O. A. Artamonova «The Cemetery of Sarkel - Belaya Vezha» published in 1963. The author’s hypotheses put forward in this monographic work demanded studies of supplementary materials; it could either confirm or disprove her assumption on forming «family groups» on cemetery. On three mounds I managed to reveal 12 family-community groups and several small family ones. Certain racial types defined by anthropologies were taken by me as a main characteristic. Revealing ethnically mixed dead by anthropologists was also very important.
