Трансформація змісту атласу "Історія українського народу та Української РСР"

Abstract

Метою статті є розгляд факторів і особливостей трансформації структури, змісту, назви атласу «Історія українського народу та Української РСР» як складової частини Академічного тритомного національного атласу Української РСР. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на принципах історизму та об’єктивності. Використано методи аналізу і синтезу, хронологічний, структурно-системний. Основні результати дослідження. Робота над створенням академічного атласу «Історія українського народу та Української РСР», який задумувався як третій том Національного атласу Української РСР, тривала майже 30 років і не була завершена виходом Атласу у світ. Проведено послідовний аналіз варіантів Атласу від 1966 р. до 1990 р., який був розроблений з радянських ідеологічних позицій і структурований за марксистськими соціально-економічними формаціями. Висновки. Доведено, що на трансформацію структури та змісту Атласу суттєво впливали зміни ідеологічних орієнтирів в СРСР, а також відповідні роботи зі створення «Історичного атласу СРСР». Встановлено, що перший варіант списку карт (1966) найоб’єктивніше та найповніше передавав історичний процес в Україні. У наступних варіантах Атласу (1972, 1984, 1990) прослідковується тенденція зменшення кількості карт дожовтневого періоду, що відображають період Київської Русі, козаччину, Запорозьку Січ, український етнос, релігію тощо. Натомість зростає кількість карт класової боротьби, більшовицького руху та, особливо, з’являються численні надумані теми періоду будівництва соціалізму та комунізму. Наприкінці 1970-х рр. назву атласу змінено на «Атлас історії Української РСР», а територією картографування стає виключно територія сучасної України. З початку 1980-х рр. Атлас готується у двох частинах (дожовтневий і радянський періоди). У нових політичних реаліях незалежної України Атлас (І частина), практично підготовлений до видання на початку 1990-х рр., не був віддрукований. Однак, роботи зі створення Атласу історії Української РСР відіграли значиму роль у зародженні та становленні атласного історичного картографування в Україні.

The purpose of the article is to examine the factors and peculiarities of the transformation of the structure, content, and title of the atlas “History of the Ukrainian People and the Ukrainian SSR” as a component of the Academic Three-Volume National Atlas of the Ukrainian SSR. The research methodology is based on the principles of historicism and objectivity. The methods used are analysis and synthesis, chronological, structural and systemic. The main results of the study. The work on the creation of the academic atlas “History of the Ukrainian People and the Ukrainian SSR”, which was conceived as the third volume of the National Atlas of the Ukrainian SSR, lasted almost 30 years and was not completed by its publication. The article analyzes the versions of the Atlas from 1966 to 1990, which were developed from the Soviet ideological standpoint and structured according to Marxist socio-economic formations. Conclusions. It has been proved that the transformation of the structure and content of the Atlas was significantly influenced by changes in ideological orientations in the USSR, as well as the relevant work on the creation of the Historical Atlas of the USSR. It is established that the first version of the list of maps (1966) conveyed the historical process in Ukraine in the most objective and complete way. In the following versions of the Atlas (1972, 1984, 1990), there is a tendency to reduce the number of maps of the pre- October period, reflecting the period of Kyivan Rus, the Cossacks, the Zaporozhian Sich, the Ukrainian ethnic group, religion, etc. Instead, the number of maps of the class struggle, the bolsheviks movement, and, especially, numerous contrived themes of the period of building socialism and communism are increasing. At the end of the 1970s, the name of the atlas was changed to the Atlas of the History of the Ukrainian SSR, and the territory of mapping became exclusively the territory of modern Ukraine. Since the early 1980s, the Atlas has been prepared in two parts (pre- October and Soviet periods). In the new political realities of independent Ukraine, the Atlas (Part I), which was almost ready for publication in the early 1990s, was not published. However, the work on creating the Atlas of the History of the Ukrainian SSR played a significant role in the emergence and development of atlas historical mapping in Ukraine.
