Роси у «Житії Георгія Амастридського»

Abstract

У статті робиться короткий історіографічний огляд одного з найбільш важливих джерел із ранньої історії Русі й аналізуються три головні проблеми: уявлення про правителя росів у візантійській літературі, описана у «Житії Георгія Амастридського» їх виправа проти Візантії та сліди пізньої редакторської правки цього джерела.The main attention in the article is paid to the Life of George of Amastris, according to the historiographical tradition, one of the important sources of early history of Rus’. A brief historiographical review and analysis of three major problems were made in particular. These are emergence the image of ruler of Rhōs in the Byzantine literature, the attack of Rhōs in the Life, and traces of late editorial corrections of text.
