Собори духовенства Київської митрополичої архиєпархії XIII− XVI століть: євхаристійна еклезіологія, адміністративна “тріада”, пасторальна модель та фіскальні функції

Abstract

На прикладі Київської митрополичої архиєпархії розглядається генеза євхаристійної моделі соборування у Руській церкві княжої доби, основою якої була духовна єдність локальної спільноти (єпархії), що інституційно забезпечувалася щорічними зібраннями митрополита-архиєпископа з духовенством і “народом Божим” (мирянами). На існування євхаристійної самосвідомості в українсько-білоруських землях вказують повчання київських митрополитів священикам, що збереглися у вигляді “свитків законних” і циклів повчань у Кормчих книгах києво-академічної редакції. Руською особливістю соборування була давня церковна практика поєднання інституту соборів із духовним судом і пастирськими візитаціями. Виявлені в рукописних джерелах та систематизовані автором згадки про побутування церковного податку “куниче” дали змогу простежити динаміку та особливості функціонування інституту єпархіяльних соборів упродовж XIII−XVI ст. Уже в княжу добу очолювані владиками собори стали основою організації та канонічної структури Київської митрополії та важливим публічним форумом саморепрезентації руської етноконфесійної спільноти.

Pivoting around the example of the Kyivan Metropolitanate Archeparchy, the author of this article investigates the genesis of the eucharistic model of gathering councils within the Ruthenian Church of the Princely Era that was based on the spiritual unity of the local community (eparchy). This unity was ensured institutionally by the annual gatherings of Metropolitan-Archbishop with the clergy and “the people of God” (the laity). The existence of the eucharistic self-consciousness within the lands of Ukraine and Belarus is evident due to the instructions of Kyivan Metropolitans written for the priests which are extant in the form of “legal scrolls” and cycles of edifications in the nomocanons of Kyivan academic edition. The Ruthenian peculiarity of gathering councils lied in the old ecclesiastic tradition of combining the council institute with the spiritual judgment and pastoral visitations. References to the existing at that time tithe as kunyche, identified and systematized by the author, enabled him to trace the dynamics and the peculiarities of functioning of the Institute of eparchial councils throughout the 13th−16th centuries. During the Princely Era the councils headed by bishops had already become the basis for the organization and canonical structure of Kyivan Metropolitanate, as well as a significant public forum for self-representing the Ruthenian ethnic and confessional community.
