Розвиток міст Донбасу у другій половині ХІХ — на початку ХХ ст.

Abstract

У повідомленні висвітлюється процес заснування і розвитку міст на Донбасі. На підставі різних джерел та історичних досліджень з’ясовується, що їх утворення відбувалося переважно за територіально-адміністративним принципом як важливих транспортних осередків та оборонних форпості. Після реформи 1861 р. і до 1900 р. збільшення кількості міст і зростання міського населення зумовлювалися стрімким промисловим розвитком регіону, заснуванням при підприємствах великої кількості робітничих селищ і поселень. Головними чинниками зростання міст і містечок були промисловий переворот, індустріальний бум, розбудова залізничної мережі, збільшення обсягів торгівлі тощо. На початку ХХ ст. розвиток міст характеризувався облаштуванням і благоустроєм центральної, елітної частини населених пунктів регіону. Їх особливостями були впровадження різного роду побутових вигод, розширення міської транспортної мережі, облаштування вулиць та громадських місць. Водночас умови життя більшості містян залишалися незмінно важкими.

The message highlights the process of Foundation and development of cities in the Donbass. Based on various sources and historical research, it turns out that if at first their education was mostly at the administrative-territorial principle as an important transportation centers and military outposts, and after the reform of 1861 and 1900, the increase in the number of cities and urban population growth due to rapid industrial development of the region, creating at the enterprises of a large number of towns and villages. The main factors of the growth of cities and towns was the industrial revolution, the industrial boom, the development of the railway network, the increase in trade. In the early twentieth century. urban development was characterized by the arrangement and landscaping of the Central part of the elite settlements of the region. Their features were the introduction of various kinds of household facilities, expansion of urban transport network, construction of streets and public places, the elite building in the Central parts of cities. At the same time the living conditions of the majority of citizens remained consistently heavy.
