Інститут військових кантоністів російської армії ХІХ ст. в історичних дослідженнях

Abstract

Метою статті є аналіз історичної літератури, яка висвітлює існування інституту військових кантоністів російської армії ХІХ ст., зокрема в Україні (Слобідсько-Українська та Херсонська губернії). Опрацьовані історіографічні джерела – праці дослідників ХІХ – поч. ХХ ст. При дослідженні проблеми виділені окремі періоди та основні напрями. Вказувалося, що в історіографії ще не створено наукового підходу до аналізу цієї проблеми. Практично всі автори, як правило, зверталися до окремих її сюжетів. Методологічну основу дослідження становлять принципи наукової логіки, об’єктивності та критики джерел. Серед основних методів історіографічного аналізу проблеми головним є проблемно-хронологічний підхід, а також методи верифікації тих чи інших концептуальних положень. На жаль, на сьогодні відсутні роботи, позбавлені відвертого ідеологічного забарвлення. Наукова новизна роботи: вперше зроблена спроба проаналізувати історію вивчення інституту кантоністів російської армії та сформулювати основні напрями в розв’язанні цієї проблеми на засадах сучасної методології, що базується на принципах поєднання історико-культурних та антропоцентричних методів. На основі аналізу історіографії проблеми можна зробити такі висновки: проблема на сьогодні лише сформульована й потребує всебічного аналізу джерельної бази та створення наративу, що відповідає сучасним методологічним вимогам.

The purpose of this article is an attempt to analyze the historical literature concerning the existence of the institute of military cantonists of the Russian army in the 19th c., in particular in Ukraine (Slobid-Ukrainian and Kherson provinces). Historiographical sources were studied, that is, works of researchers of the 19th – the early 20th c. Separate periods and main directions in the study of the problem are highlighted. Attention was drawn to the fact that a scientific approach to the analysis of the problem has not yet been created in historiography. Almost all authors, as a rule, turned to its individual plots. The methodological basis of the research is the principles of scientific logic, objectivity and source criticism. Among the main methods of historiographical analysis of the problem, the main one is the problem- chronological approach, as well as methods of verification of certain conceptual provisions. Unfortunately, the currently missing works are devoid of overt ideological coloring. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time an attempt has been made to analyze the history of the study of institute of cantonists of the Russian army and to formulate the main directions in solving this problem on the basis of modern methodology, which is based on the principles of combining historical-cultural and anthropocentric methods. Based on the analysis of the historiography of the problem, the following conclusions can be drawn: the problem, to date, has only been formulated and requires a comprehensive analysis of the source base and the creation of a narrative that meets modern methodological requirements.
