Abstract

Under the conditions of a trial, a wave-like character of dynamics of the individuals number in the one- and two-species communities of 8 fodder plants species was determined. The number of the individuals of initial species reduces in all variants during the first four years of growth, and in the fifth year the number of individuals increases on account of the young individuals of seed and vegetative origin, and then decreases again in the seventh year. It testifies to launching of a mechanism of self-regulation over the number of individuals in populations. The dynamics of quantity of individuals changes more rapidly in monocultures than in two-species communities. Decrease in the number of individuals of the components in two-component communities depends on the phytocenotic features of the species, in particular their competitive capacity. In the course of existence of the artificial communities weeds-species and species-cultigens occupy the ecological niches.
