Одеські гімназисти та Січневе повстання 1863-1864 рр.: матеріали однієї кримінальної справи

Abstract

У статті вперше запропоновано публікацію документів однієї кримінальної справи, які розкривають вплив подій Січневого повстання 1863 – 1864 рр. на учнів приватної чоловічої гімназії Одеси. З’ясовано, що учні гімназії обговорювали та переймались подіями повстання в Польщі і навіть мріяли приєднатися до польських загонів. Юнацькі мрії та інші події життя призвели до самогубства одного з учнів. Документи, що публікуються, допомагають розкрити побутове життя гімназистів та історію окремого навчального закладу. Показано також коло польських родин, які вболівали за вчинки своїх дітей. Відзначено ставлення російської адміністрації до учнів польського походження.

The article proposes for the first time the publication of the documents of one criminal case, which reveal the impact of the events of the January Uprising of 1863 – 1864 on the students of the private men's gymnasium in Odessa. It was found out that the students of the gymnasium discussed and worried about the events of the uprising in Poland and even dreamed of joining the Polish units. Youthful dreams and other life events led to the suicide of one of the students. The published documents help reveal the everyday life of high school students and the history of a particular educational institution. A circle of Polish families cheering on their children's actions is also shown. The attitude of the Russian administration towards students of Polish origin was noted.
