Безэквивалентная лексика: трудности перевода

Abstract

Статья является попыткой исследовать понятие «безэквивалентная лексика», ее особенностей, а также трудностей, возникающих при ее переводе. Рассмотрение данного вопроса позволяет определить, что включает в себя термин «безэквивалентная лексика», рассмотреть классификацию безэквивалентной лексики, выяснить причины безэквивалентности лексики, провести переводческий, сопоставительный анализ русскоязычных и англоязычных текстов, выявить в них безэквивалетную лексику, установить специфику перевода.

Стаття є спробою розглянути таке явище як «безеквівалентна лексика», її особливості, а також проблеми її перекладу. Розгляд даного питання дозволяє визначити, що включає в себе термін «безеквівалентна лексика», розглянути класифікацію безеквівалентної лексики, з'ясувати причини безеквівалентності лексики, провести перекладацький, порівняльний аналіз російськомовний та англомовних текстів, виявити в них безеквівалетную лексику, встановити специфіку перекладу.

The article is the attempt to study the concept «culture-specific vocabulary», it’s peculiarities and also the translation problems. The study of this matter allows to determine what the term «culture-specific vocabulary» includes, to study the classification of culture-specific vocabulary, to make the translation analysis, comparative analysis of Russian and English texts in order to identify the culture-specific vocabulary, to find out the particularities of translation. The translation of the culture-specific vocabulary may become quite a challenge for the translator that requires not only the knowledge of translation techniques and appropriate skills. Often the translation of the vocabulary of that kind is influenced by different extra-linguistic factors. The given study helps to establish that while translating the culture-specific vocabulary the following methods of translation may be used: generalization ( such method is not always optimal as it result in reduction of the word’s specific features), descriptive translation, transcription, transliteration.
