Abstract

У статті розглядається історичний контекст поняття «рідна мова». Акцентується увага на важливості цього поняття, як смислової домінанти і домінанти духовної. Представлені погляди та думки знакових постатей української культури про рідну мову, рідне слово, про входження через мову в суспільство, в якому живеш, в його культуру. Розглянуто погляди на проблему рідної мови українських вчених Івана Огієнка, Михайла Грушевського, Івана Франка, Костянтина Ушинського та ін.
