Українська духовна пісня усної традиції: стан і перспективи дослідження

Abstract

Авторка робить спробу визначити підходи, які б дозволили масштабне дослідження духовної пісні як явища народної традиції. З такою метою формується «погляд згори», так би мовити, зі сучасної точки зору на історію й стан українських народознавчих студій. Складність таких студій зумовлена передусім значною розпорошеністю відповідних рукописних та друкованих джерел, які при значній кількості мають здебільшого принагідний характер. Такій джерелознавчій специфіці розвідки відповідає поєднання історичного і порівняльного методів. Новизна й актуальність пов’язані, з одного боку – з фактом відсутності спеціальної наукової праці про духовну пісню в українській фольклористиці, з невивченістю історії фіксації текстів, як і спостережень щодо їх природи та функціонування; а з іншого – з безсумнівною цінністю цих творів, їх живучістю в усній традиції. У висновках накреслено перспективи дослідження української народної духовної пісні з акцентом на складності найактуальніших проблем, яку зумовлює багатство, різноманітність, об’ємність матеріалу.

The author attempts to define approaches that would allow a large-scale study of the spiritual song as a phenomenon of folk tradition. For this purpose, "a top view" is formed, so to speak, from a modern point of view on the history and state of Ukrainian ethnographic studies. The complexity of such studies is primarily caused by the significant scattering of relevant manuscripts and printed sources; however, despite their significant number, they are primarily sporadic. The combination of historical and comparative methods corresponds to such a source studies specifics of the article. Novelty and relevance are related, on the one hand, to the fact that there is no special scientific work about the spiritual song in Ukrainian folklore studies, to the unexplored history of recording texts, as well as observations about their nature and functionning; and on the other – with the undoubted value of these works, their survivability in the oral tradition. The conclusions outline the prospects for the study of Ukrainian folk spiritual songs, emphasising the complexity of the most actual problems caused by richness, diversity, and the volume of the material.
