Становлення та розвиток краєзнавчого руху в Уманській окрузі в 1920-х роках

Abstract

У статті аналізується становлення та розвиток краєзнавчого руху на Уманщині у контексті суспільно-політичних процесів 1920-х років, простежується розвиток дослідницько-пошукових та просвітницьких форм краєзнавчої роботи, акцентується увага на змісті краєзнавчої діяльності. З’ясовано, що основними осередками розвитку краєзнавства і залучення до нього представників різних верств громадськості були краєзнавчі музеї. Учасниками краєзнавчого руху в більшості були освітяни як представники наймасовішого прошарку місцевої інтелігенції. Щодо змісту краєзнавчої роботи, то переважали археологічні та етнографічні розвідки. Констатується, що з кінця 1920-х років почалося згортання краєзнавчого руху. В умовах утвердження тоталітарного режиму краєзнавці Уманщини зазнали репресій, а краєзнавство на довгі роки згасло.

The article analyzes the formation and development of the local history movement in the Uman region in the context of socio-political processes of the 1920s, traces the development of researchresearch and educational forms of local history work, and focuses attention on the content of local history activity. It was found that local history museums were the main centers of the development of local history and the involvement of representatives of various layers of the public in it. The participants of the local history movement were mostly educators as representatives of the most massive stratum of the local intelligentsia. As for the content of local history work, archaeological and ethnographic explorations prevailed. It is noted that the decline of the local history movement began in the late 1920s. In the conditions of the establishment of the totalitarian regime, local historians of the Uman region suffered repression, and local history faded away for many years.
