Зібрання географічних карт XVIII ст. Національного музею історії України

Abstract

У XVIII ст. зростання економіки країн Західної Європи сприяв розвитку картографії. Процес виготовлення карт удосконалювався: проводились високоточні астрономічні вимірювання й інструментальні топографічні знімання. Найбільшого економічного прогресу в XVIII ст. у Західній Європі досягли Англія і Франція, що відбилося і на розвитку астрономії, геодезії та картографії. Прогрес намітився і в розвитку Німеччини, що сприяло покращенню картографічної діяльності. У Нідерландах картографічне виробництво було пригальмовано внаслідок низького економічного розвитку. В колекції Національного музею історії України зберігаються зразки картографії XVIII ст. створені відомими картографами того часу. Наприклад, картографічні твори з музейної колекції найвідомішого картографа Іоганна Баптиста Гоманна та його спадкоємців Іоганна Гюбнера та Жіля Робера де Вогонді представляють Королівства Іспанії та Португалії, графство Тироль з приєднаними графствами, а також Королівство Данії з князівствами Гольштінії та Шлезвігу, Датськими островами. Картограф Шарль Луї Дено створив карти територій європейських держав, таких як Скандинавія, Швейцарія, Іспанія, карту з нанесеною на неї течією річки Рейн з усіма місцевостями, а також карти театру воєнних дій на території європейських держав. Всі вони гідно представляють колекцію картографічних творів Національного музею історії України. Автором статті зроблено огляд цієї колекції з описом процесу їх атрибуції.

In the XVIII century, the economic growth in Eastern European countries contributed to the development of cartography. The process of making maps was improving: high-precision astronomical measurements and instrumental topographic surveys were caring out. The greatest economic progress in the XVIII century achieved in Western Europe by England and France reflected in the development of astronomy, geodesy and cartography. The progress in the development of Germany, which began at the same time, contributed to the improvement of cartographic activities. In the Netherlands, cartographic production stalled due to low economic development. In the collection of the National Museum of Ukrainian History are stored (kept) samples of cartography XVIII century created by wellknown cartographers of that time. For example, cartographic works from the museum collection of the most famous cartographer Johann Baptiste Hohmann and his successors Johann Gübner and Gilbert Robert de Vogond represent the Kingdom of Spain and Portugal, the Province of Tyrol with the acceded counties, as well as the Kingdom of Denmark with the principalities of Holstein and Schleswig, the Danish islands. Cartographer Charles Louis Deno created maps of territories of European states such as Scandinavia, Switzerland, Spain, a map of the flow of the Rhine River with all the areas, as well as maps of theater of war in the territory of European states. All of them duly represent the collection of cartographic works of the National Museum of History of Ukraine. The author of the article reviews the collection with a description of the process of their attribution.
