Abstract

The peculiarities of the artistic interpretation of the motives of life’s fleetingness in Ezra Pound’s lyrics are dealt with in the article. The conceptions and the principles of these motives are considered. Their aesthetic functions in Ezra Pound’s lyrics (including elements of philosophic systems, genres of antique literature, citations, and mythological images) are being defined.
