Стихия огня в романе Германа Броха «Смерть Вергилия»

Abstract

The subject of the article is the fire element in H. Broch’s novel «Death of Virgil». In the research process the correlations between the fire motive and the motives of crowd and art are shown. The role of this element in the understanding of artist’s mission in the given novel is also defined.
