Abstract

An active morphogenesis of spatial social structures is being observed in the con temporary world, which finds its reflection in the concepts of globalization and regionalization. Sociology has been disregarded the spatial aspect of the society’s existence for a long period, and finally was found defenseless in the face of spatial challenge of the present. Sociology is in need of intensive cowork with other sciences, such as geography, geopolitics, geoeconomics as well as philosophy. Regional sociology may become the starting point of the sociological knowledge.
