Причинки до візуальної історії Київського антирелігійного музею – Володимирського філіалу Всеукраїнського музейного городка

Abstract

У статті на підставі зображальних джерел – фотографічних негативів й відбитків із колекції Національного заповідника «Києво-Печерська лавра» з’ясовано додаткові аспекти діяльності Київського (Всеукраїнського) антирелігійного музею – філіалу Державного культурно-історичного заповідника «Всеукраїнський музейний городок», що функціонував протягом першої третини 1930-х рр. у Володимирському соборі. Простежено трансформацію музейного показу, оприявнено реекспозиції виставкових груп, доповнено й деталізовано дані про антирелігійні тексти, музейні предмети й пояснення низки експозиційних відділів, локалізовано читальню філіалу й відтворено її загальний вигляд, візуалізовано фондосховища антирелігійного музею, а також розширено коло збережених пам’яток, експонованих у Володимирському соборі.The article uses visual sources, such as photographic negatives and prints from the National Preserve «Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra» collection, to identify additional aspects of the activities of the Kyiv (All-Ukrainian) Anti-Religious Museum, a branch of the State Cultural and Historical Preserve «All-Ukrainian Museum Town», which functioned in the first third of the 1930s in St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral. Little-known visual sources that were not previously used for scientific research have been clarified and verified, allowing us to trace changes in museum displays and reveal the re-expositions of exhibition groups. The data on museum anti-religious texts of the section «Art in the Service of the Church», embodied through the propaganda interpretation of monumental murals and iconography of the cathedral, have been supplemented. Information on museum objects and explanations of the «Religion and Medicine» department, which was probably originally located in the western part of the northern nave of the cathedral, and later in the cathedral choirs, is detailed. Three preserved votive offerings were identified, which were exhibited as an example of «church magic instead of medical care». New aspects of the functioning of the «Cult of Barbara » section of the «Orthodoxy in Ukraine» exhibition group in the south altar of St. Princess Olga in the cathedral choirs are revealed. The so-called reading room of the anti-religious museum was localized in the cathedral space and its general appearance was recreated. The possible museum stock premises of the Kyiv Anti-Religious Museum are visualized, and photographs, probably taken in 1933, of the losses of the St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral shroud are published. It is emphasized that further identification and analysis of visual sources on the history of the All-Ukrainian Museum Town and its branches in the context of the imperial Bolshevik genocidal policy of the 1920s and 1930s is a promising research area.
