Пам’яткознавство в навчальних програмах вишів України

Abstract

У статті розглядається питання дослідження науковими установами, громадськими організаціями та вивчення у вищих навчальних закладах гуманітарного профілю нової наукової дисципліни – пам’яткознавства. Зазначається, що в окрему науку з визначеним об’єктом, предметом, специфічними завданнями пам’яткознавство було виділено наприкінці ХХ – на початку ХХІ ст. у зв’язку з необхідністю опрацювання теоретичних засад дослідження та методики вивчення, охорони і використання культурної спадщини. Названо академічні установи, профільні громадські організації, які мають найвагоміші результати у пам’яткознавчих студіях. Зазначено, що нині в Україні затверджено стандарт вищої освіти за спеціальністю «Музеєзнавство, пам’яткознавство», яка осібно чи разом із дисципліною «Охорона культурної спадщини» викладається у майже 20 вищих навчальних закладах.This article examines the integration of Monument Studies as an emerging academic discipline in the research practices of Ukrainian scientific institutions, public organizations and humanities-focused universities. The formalization of this field at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries was prompted by the need to develop theoretical and methodological foundations for studying, preserving and utilizing cultural heritage. The article identifies key institutions and organizations contributing to the development of this discipline. It also notes the approval of a national higher education standard for the specialty «Museum Studies and Monument Studies», which is taught—independently or alongside «Protection of Cultural Heritage» — at nearly 20 higher education institutions in Ukraine. The growing presence of Monument Studies in university curricula reflects a rising societal interest in cultural heritage. This interest has been further intensified by the destruction of heritage sites caused by military actions and the urgent need for restoration and preservation. An analysis of educational programs and teaching materials shows that the discipline continues to define its conceptual framework, research agenda, and place within the broader humanities. Nevertheless, recent decades of academic work confirm the importance of this field for both theoretical research and practical action aimed at protecting and reintegrating Ukraine’s historical and cultural legacy as a part of European and global heritage.
