Розуміти постмодернізм: північні квартали Подолу

Abstract

Проблема переоцінки спадщини радянської доби є дуже складною і суперечливою темою. Зараз велику дискусію викликають споруди 1960–1970-х. У цій статті автор, однак, здійснює спробу відкрити новий шар: постмодерну спадщину в межах радянської епохи. Важливими відкриттями є чітка сконденсованість споруд і будівель на Подолі, наявність конкретних методів і підходів застосованих у роботі 1980-х рр. Архітектурні майстерні «Київпроекту» мали змогу працювати без безпосереднього нагляду цензури, архітектори у своїй роботі виражали міжнародні тенденції в архітектурі, а не радянську ідеологію. Стаття висвітлює потенційну локальну значущість цих незавершених об’єктів, а також пропонує осмислювати збудоване середовище за допомогою критичного словника філософії.The problem of reassessing the legacy of the Soviet era is a very complex and controversial topic. Now the great debate is caused by the construction of the 1960s-1970s. In this article, however, the author tries to open a new layer – a post-modern heritage within the Soviet era. The end of modernity somehow leaked underneath the iron curtain and a few architects started working in a different style. Important discoveries are: the vivid condensation of buildings and structures on the Podil, the presence of innovative and specific methods and approaches used in the 1980s and increasing interest in complexity of urban environment. Architectural workshops of Kyivproekt were able to work without a direct censorship, architects in their work expressed the international trends in architecture, and not the Soviet ideology. The article highlights the potential local significance of these unfinished objects and suggests an understanding of the built environment with the help of a critical philosophy dictionary. As well the question of heritage status and further aspects of conservation of unique blocks in Kyiv are raised.
